Godsfield camping

The event campsite is on the edge of Godsfield Copse and has reaching views across the Hampshire countryside. The camp is accessed off Spiers Lane and will be signposted from the main road. You’ll be taking your vehicle off-road on private land; please keep to the marked track. As you drive off the road, you’ll see the trig point of Bugmore Hill to your left and Godsfield Copse in front of you. This will become a familiar site as it is a section of the route and where you’ll enter the copse for some of the awesome trails that await.

Pitching

The camping area will be marked to the perimeter. You can park and pitch where you like within the camp area, but please keep your area contained. Camping for the weekend, Fri - Sun, is included with your event entry. There is no electric supply, showers, or hot water at the campsite as we are in a remote rural location on private land. Please plan and prepare accordingly.

There will be portaloo toilets at the campsite and a plentiful cold water supply.

The Hub - New layout for 2025

We’ve planned the weekend hub around a central zone, open space in the heart of the event surrounded by nature and everything you will need.

The Blended - ‘Runners Table’ will be close to the corral, HQ with a view, and the camping pitch.

Your Crew

If you’ve got a friend or family member who can crew for you, use them! Time is precious on a BYU so having someone who can get your fuel ready/dry your socks/cheer for you is undeniably helpful. A support crew person is included in your entry, and if you have children who need to accompany you, there is no extra cost for them. Please consider the following:

·        The support crew must stay in the campground/race area. It's against the Backyard rules to go out onto the course to offer support.

·        We are supplying a well-stocked fuel area for our runners, but unfortunately, this does not extend to the crew. Please make sure they are covered for food and drink.

·        Crew can leave the race area in their vehicles if needed, but we’d ask that you limit this as much as possible to preserve the safety of our runners. We’d also ask that they time it as the runners set off on the hour to limit crossing their path.

·        If you are camping in a van and your crew may be leaving the site, please let our parking marshals know so they can direct you to a suitable spot.

·        You are welcome to bring your children, but please be aware that this is a very rural setting, and children are not permitted in the woodland area or any part of the course.

Fire & BBQ

Camp fire

The Blended Run Crew will manage a campfire on Saturday evening. It will keep you warm between the loops at night and somewhere to relax when you kick off the trail shoes and sit back. It’s the ideal spot for supporters to gather, relax, and enjoy a hot chocolate.

A few campfire rules

  • Please do not put anything on the fire (see below for recycling).

  • Please ask one of the Blended Crew if you need help.

BBQ’s

This is not a powered site, and there are no cooking facilities. Small BBQ’s that are designed with feet are acceptable, the disposable BBQs are not acceptable as they scar the land. Please do not use a disposable BBQ .

Waste

We will have a designated area for waste recycling. Please separate waste into compostables, plastic, cardboard, and glass, and we will ensure the waste is disposed of responsibly.

Walking & Dogs

Local routes

We welcome dogs at our event! Please ensure they are kept on leads at all times for everyone’s safety. While event visitors and supporters cannot walk on the race route or the immediate land around the venue, there are plenty of beautiful public rights of way nearby. The Three Castles Path, accessible from the venue entrance, is a great option for dog walks, along with many other local trails.

Pet owners are responsible for their pets and must follow the rules of public places. Thank you for your cooperation, and enjoy exploring the trails with your furry friends!

Time for one more?

The event is open ended, the Blended Run Crew will be supporting you throughout your event. The campground will be open until we have a winner. Will this be Sun or Monday?

Time will tell and we can’t wait.

Chilton Manor Farm is a family-owned & run estate in the heart of the Candover Valley. It provides a stunning location for our event.

Godsfield Copse sits at the top of Bugmore Hill marked by the Trig Point and is a superb and inspiring route. Spectators have a wonderful spot to relax and cheer on their friends and family as they build up lap after lap of awesome running.
