Event Terms *

Thank you for joining the Blended Trails event. Please carefully read this disclaimer to acknowledge and accept the terms and conditions of participation.

1. Medical Fitness

By participating in our events you are confirming you are medically fit. You acknowledge that you have prepared both mentally and physically, and have rested adequately prior to the event.

 

2. Emergency Contact

Participants must provide an emergency contact name and telephone number. Emergency contact information must be added to the back of the participant's bib at registration (if it bibs are provided). Also include any allergies or medical information necessary for emergency treatment by a trained professional.

 

3. First Aid and Emergency Services

Participants acknowledge that first aid and emergency services will be available, but Blended Trails is not liable for the provision of these services or the outcomes of any medical treatments.

 

4. Consent for Medical Treatment

In the event of an emergency, participants consent to receive necessary medical treatment administered by event personnel or qualified medical staff.

 

5. Safety Briefing

Participants are required to attend the safety briefing held on the morning of the race. We will advise of the time of the safety briefing when you register and collect your bib and timing chip.

 

6. Rules

Participants confirm that they understand the rules of the event.

 

7. Equipment

Participants confirm that they have prepared themselves with appropriate shoes, clothing, and hydration packs.

 

8. Car and Personal Possession Security

Participants are responsible for the security of their vehicles and personal possessions. Blended Trails and its affiliates are not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

 

9. Route Marking

The trail route is marked to the best of our ability with directional signage. However, conditions may change due to weather, natural habitats, and wildlife. Participants are responsible for navigating the course safely and should be prepared for variable conditions.

 

10. Public Rights of Way

The event uses public rights of way. Participants should be aware of and courteous to other users, including walkers, cyclists, and runners. Blended Trails is not responsible for the actions of other individuals using these pathways.

 

11. Water

Drinking water and squash will be provided free of charge throughout the event. We have water stations, please refer to the event map or website for details of the location. Water station positioning may change, at short notice due to various reasons. We will advise you at the race safety briefing of any changes. While we strive to maintain a constant supply, we cannot guarantee the purity of the water. Participants consume water at their own risk.

 

12. Food and Allergies

Any food prepared and provided by Blended Trails, is given as a goodwill gesture. Whilst we have taken steps to minimise the risk of cross-contamination, please be advised that food on our fuel table (if provided) may contain the following ingredients: milk, egg, wheat, soy, fish, tree nuts, peanuts, mustard, or sesame. We recognise the seriousness of food allergies but cannot assume any liability for adverse reactions. Participants with allergies or dietary restrictions must exercise caution and are responsible for managing their own food intake. Blended Trails is not liable for any allergic reactions or health issues arising from food consumption.

 

13. Landowner Disclaimer

Participants agree to hold harmless the landowners from any claims or liabilities arising from their participation in the event. The event is held on private land with permission, and we ask that all participants respect the property and its natural environment.

 

14. Environmental Responsibility

Participants agree to respect the environment and dispose of all litter responsibly. Blended Trails will have a single location for waste recycling, although we encourage participants to contain and take their waste with them from the event where possible. Blended Trails reserves the right to disqualify anyone found to be littering or causing harm to the environment.

 

15. Insurance

Participants are encouraged to have their insurance to cover any potential injuries or accidents. Blended Trails' public liability insurance does not cover personal accidents or injuries of participants.

 

16. Personal Conduct

Participants agree to conduct themselves in a respectful and safe manner at all times. Any behavior deemed unsafe or inappropriate may result in disqualification from the event without refund.

 

17. Data Protection

Participants consent to the collection and use of their personal data for the purpose of event administration and communication, in accordance with data protection regulations.

 

18. Photographs, Media, and Live Broadcasting

Participants grant Blended Trails the right to use any photographs or video footage taken during the event for promotional purposes without compensation. This includes the use of live broadcasting on Meta (formerly Facebook) platforms.

 

19. Cancellation Policy

Participants acknowledge that the event may be cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances such as severe weather, natural disasters, or other safety concerns. In such cases, refunds or rescheduling will be managed at the discretion of Blended Trails.

 

20. Refund Policy

Participants acknowledge and agree to the event's refund policy, which states that entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable except in the event of cancellation by Blended Trails. Please take out event insurance if you wish to protect yourself from this risk.

 

21. Dogs

Dogs are allowed at the event. They must be kept on leads at all times. Event visitors and supporters cannot walk on the race route or the immediate land around the venue. It is private land, and we only have access to the event route. Pet owners take full responsibility for their pets and must follow the rules of public places.

22. Noise and Disturbance

Participants agree to minimize noise and disturbance, especially during night hours, to respect the local community and wildlife.

 

Liability Waiver

In accordance with UK law, Blended Trails, its founder, and all volunteers are not responsible for any injuries, incidents, or damages that occur during the event. Participants are fully responsible for their own safety and well-being throughout the event. This includes ensuring they are self-sufficient, adequately hydrated, and nourished, and medically sound to participate. By purchasing an entry ticket, participants waive any right to make claims against Blended Trails, its founder, volunteers, or landowners for any incident or injury occurring during the event.
